Windows Mobile 6.1: Samsung Mondi - Voller WiMAX-Zugang

(Las Vegas, Nevada - 2009-03-31) Mit dem Samsung Mobile lancierte der koreanische Hersteller das erste mobile Internetgerät, das voll für mobiles WiMAX geeignet ist. Das Mondi hat einen 4,3 Zoll Touchscreen und ist für den mobilen WiMAX-Dienst «Clear» von Clearwire (Kirkland, Washington) gedacht. Das Mondi hat die Form eines Sliders (QWERTY-Tastatur kommt unten heraus), kommt mit GPS Navigation von Route 66, E-Mail (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), Internet, Video-Inhalten und Business Applikationen. Der Web Browser ist ein Opera 9.5. Schnellzugang gibt es zu Fring, Gypsii und MS Live Messenger. Neben WiMAX bietet das Gerät auch Wi-Fi und Bluetooth 2.0. Als Betriebssystem wird Windows Mobile 6.1 benutzt. Für E-Mails steht Microsoft Outlook bereit und als Business Applikationen findet man Windows Mobile Office. Das Mondi hat 4 GB Memory, eine 3.0 Megapixel Kamera und einen HDMI TV-Ausgang.
